Two Rivers Physical Therapy has been serving patients from the greater Portland area including North and Northeast Portland and St Johns since 2006.  We are located inside longtime St Johns independent gym West Coast Fitness.  The friendly athletic club atmosphere, and its wide variety of tools and equipment, provides an ideal setting for rehabilitation.

Julie McAllister

Julie McAllister

Physical Therapist

Julie grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and did her undergraduate studies at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, where she received a BS in Psychology in 1987. She did her physical therapy training at Boston University, and graduated with a Master’s degree in 1991. Since that time, Julie has been practicing physical therapy in the outpatient orthopedic setting in East Portland. Julie has a long standing relationship with the Cascade Athletic Club.

In addition to providing traditional outpatient physical therapy services, Julie enjoys seeing a wide variety of patients and focuses on patient education and self care training. Her clinical focus is orthopedics. She specializes in lumbar stabilization training, running injuries, and knee and shoulder taping techniques and is well educated in a variety of manual therapy techniques. Julie plays on a women’s soccer team, enjoys trail running, reading and traveling with her husband, two sons and daughter-in-law.

Alex graduated from Des Moines University in 2017 where he gained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Soon after, he moved from Iowa to Portland with his wife to start his career. He joined the Two Rivers Physical Therapy team in 2018. He is a former personal trainer who now enjoys treating orthopedic injuries, spinal pathologies, and TMJ dysfunction. He has a strong emphasis on manual therapy and returning patients back to full function. In his free time he enjoys hiking, canoeing, camping, paddle boarding, and exploring with his wife and his dog.

Kevin Hatley

Kevin is originally from Montana and moved to the Portland metro area in 2018 with his significant other and son.  He graduated from MSU Bozeman with a B.S. in Exercise Science and then earned an A.A.S. at MSU Great Falls for Physical Therapist Assistant.  Kevin has taken continuing education courses and learned skills such as soft-tissue mobilization (STM), deep tissue massage, trigger point release, sports massage, pin and stretch techniques, and cupping.  

Kevin has treated a wide range of orthopedic injuries, post-op procedures, on the job injuries, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and everyday injuries as well.  He has worked with a wide variety of patient populations including geriatric, pediatric, athletes, and every day people too!  Kevin enjoys and takes pride in helping people meet their therapy goals, reduce their pain, improve or restore function, and promote overall wellness.  When he's not working, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, going to the coast, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and watching the Blazers!

Workers Compensation / On the Job Injury

We specialize in working with patients who have suffered an injury at work or in a motor vehicle accident.  Our goal is to get you fully healed and ready to get back to work.  We can help you navigate your insurance claim.  We are contracted with Workers Compensation Managed Care organizations (MCOs) including Kaiser, MHN/Caremark and Majoris. 

Motor Vehicle Accident / Personal Injury

For Motor Vehicle Accident and Personal Injury patients, the sooner that we see you following a car accident, the better.  If desired, we can work in conjunction with Chiropractic work to help you strengthen for permanent recovery.
